Ekenäs Gård
Our own cultivation
By the flower meadow next to our restaurant Orangeriet, a little oasis grows. Here, we cultivate organic vegetables, berries, fruits, and herbs, which in various ways shape the menu for the day and decorate our plates. Our ambition is to be as self-sufficient as possible and create a culinary experience that is as local and sustainable as we can.
Depending on the season, you can enjoy everything from flavorful farm tomatoes with saffron vinaigrette to a crispy zucchini tart with ricotta, or why not a fresh pavlova topped with the farm’s berries. We love letting nature guide the menu, where what grows on the farm is our greatest inspiration, and we are proud to be able to serve you, our guests, the very best, directly from our own cultivation.
The gardens
Well-protected at the back of the farm, our rose garden is hidden, a peaceful place where grapevines and hollyhocks bloom in all colors, and a small natural pond provides tranquility with its trickling waterfall. Here, you can enjoy the sun all day, play games, socialize, or perhaps read a good book and simply relax.
Just outside Orangeriet is our other garden, the apple orchard, where our outdoor seating area is located. Here, you can enjoy breakfast in the first morning sun or dinner in the summer evenings. We use the apples from the trees to make our own juice, which is served both at the breakfast table and in our drinks, such as the Ekenäs Spritz.
Meadows & animal
Behind the Barn, the beautiful meadow stretches out, not only as a view for our restaurant guests but also as pasture for the cows that visit us every summer. On the farm, you will also find the dachshund Laban, who diligently takes care of our four-legged friends, and the farm cat Lillebror, who prefers to lounge on the hayloft.
Natural forest
In our small natural forest, two short walking trails wind through beech and deciduous trees. Here, we have gently created small spaces for calm and play, with forest art, tree swings, and other cozy corners to discover. In the spring, the little stream fills up, and the entire forest blooms with wild garlic, which you are welcome to pick along the way.
"Logen"
In the farm’s barn, “Logen”, which has been carefully restored into a rustic and charming gathering space, we’ve created a calm and cozy lounge bar where you can sit down, socialize, and enjoy fine wines and drinks, or perhaps a coffee and a digestif. From time to time, we offer a variety of simple dishes, such as freshly baked flatbreads, a grill platter, or vegetables straight from the garden. We’ve adorned the walls with art from our local artist and illustrator, Therese Hansson, who playfully and creatively tells the story of Ekenäs Gård. In “Logen”, you’ll also find our little shop, offering products and décor from the farm that you can take home as a beautiful keepsake.
